Your generosity makes everything we do possible.
Your tax-deductible donations support women as they learn how to shape a better future for themselves and their families. They allow us to provide workforce development training, therapeutic activities, a safe and sober living environment, and so much more. As we look towards our organization’s future, the construction of our new 83-bed treatment facility will allow us to expand our offerings and help more women in our Northern Nevada community – making our world a better place.
We invite you to be a part of our journey. Donate today!
The Empowerment Center Inc. is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit social service organization serving the citizens of Northern Nevada. The organization provides a clean and sober living environment with a recovery oriented system of care to women who are in recovery from the devastating diseases of alcoholism and addiction.
The goal of The Empowerment Center is to return at-risk individuals to their communities, their families, and the workforce as productive members. We provide a number of programs to help our residents understand and overcome their addictive behaviors. Our Workforce Development component provides job interviewing techniques, resume writing skills, computer and financial literacy, and assistance with the job search. We strive to empower our residents to become self-supporting so they have the opportunity to become assets to our community and successfully reintegrate into their families.
It’s important to establish a foundation for recovery by revealing the beliefs of addiction and the potential consequences that come with it. At the same time, the family needs encouragement and education on how to better act as a support system for the person struggling with the illness. All of the patients at The Empowerment Center receive treatment that helps them not only understand their addiction, but also sets them up for continued recovery in the future.
Your donations do everything from putting a roof over a woman’s head while they are reintegrating into the community to putting a hot meal on the table. You and your family, friends, church, company, club, or group can offer a future for our neighbors who need it most – a woman who has no hope and turns to her addiction. Our needs for financial support are more fully described below.
If your gift is in honor of, or in memory of someone, please let us know who the honoree is. Please indicate also whether we can acknowledge your gift publicly.
Our General Fund underwrites the cost of our daily operations. These unrestricted donations allow us the flexibility to use your contributions where they are most needed.
